Anomalies in NASA NEATv1 images

Sometimes it's what you don't see that gives the game away.

In NASA Mpeg movies of the comet NEATv1 passage, you don't see this anomaly. But if you get the Zip file of images from the NASA SOHO archive, you notice something unusual.

No sooner has the comet made it's appearance than the LASCO logo which is usually displayed in the bottom right corner disappears - and the background changes to light blue from the previous dark blue
(image right). And you don't see that logo ever again in the comet images.

Change of procedure, or change of personnel? Go figure.
