Figure 5 Analysis
 

Figure 5 was originally selected from the source material as a "control" print, because it had nothing particularly interesting on it. The examination of the .PCX file was another matter. There are the now familiar bright specs in the night sky, and yet another "spike" like object. This frame is a good reinforcement (at least on preliminary review) for the "Lunar Dome" hypothesis over the "scratched negatives" for one simple reason; on this frame the "specs" are visible only in the night sky, not on the surface in the foreground. It is highly unlikely that emulsion scratches would restrict themselves to just the dark parts of the photograph.

This frame will be used to make just such a comparison, if the "ground" is found to reasonably free of damage, then it is un-reasonable to assume that the "specs" and "spike" are the results of such alleged damage. Enhancement of this frame will hopefully reveal clear support for one of these opposing arguments.
