Origins of the Hum.
One firmly established fact is that observing the Hum level over very large areas no point of origin has ever been found. However, logic demands that there must be a source and the position of the source must be such that it produces the same Hum intensity over these very large areas and the only such positions are either above or below the surface of the Earth.
Proposition - that the electrical grid system is oscillating elementary charged particles in the ionosphere at a height of some 250 miles and that these particles in turn are transmitting gravity waves back to Earth.
As has been mentioned before on this web site, all observations indicate that the direction of the Hum is vertical and that the intensity of the perceived Hum is affected by buildings and the shape of the roof. Also it should be noted that the weather has an affect upon Hum levels and that the associated voltages obtained from the walls of buildings can also change dramatically with changes in the atmosphere.
Detection of these gravity waves has been accomplished by observing the movement of a small mass oscillating at a frequency very close to that of the mains frequency. The detectors were constructed of a small mass fixed to the free end of a flat spring and also that of a strained wire made in the fashion of a musical instrument.
It was found that no matter how delicate the mass was suspended no motion could be observed, only when the mass was in a state of acceleration did any transfer of energy take place.
There have been a few reports of sufferers hearing the Hum in aircraft flying at high altitude and other reports of people hearing the Hum deep underground. These observations agree with the above proposal and confirm the difficulty there is in finding a means of protection.
